Gillian Gibson was appointed group vice-president in July 2007. Since 2002, she has worked closely with the world’s leading tour operators, TUI Group and Thomas Cook Group, and the biggest names in online travel, including Expedia, lastminute.com, ebookers, Opodo and new entrants, Kayak.

As a member of Amadeus’ senior management, Gillian has spent seven years at the nexus where tour operators and travel agents meet airlines, both in distribution and technology. This experience combines to give Gillian a privileged and comprehensive view on the travel industry.

Prior to joining Amadeus, Gillian developed her international business experience in the IT, finance and automotive industries. During her five years as part of the management team of Mondex International (a MasterCard subsidiary), she negotiated major commercial agreements with large corporations in the US, Japan and Europe. Gillian began her career in technology procurement management, working for General Motors and National Westminster Bank.
